Basically you pay a 5 star but receive services of a 3 star or lower. In theory it looks like a 5 star hotel, nice facilities, beautiful spot, you can see Jerome (boss) has taken care of all small details in terms of looks. However, there are numerous underlying issues behind this attractive facade... 1.Service: innatentive and disorganized. At the bar and restaurant (next to the pool) is better, but they take too much time to attend the customers, you get the feeling that nobody is there. After breakfast they leave all the leftovers without cleaning them, they wait for the turn to be over to clean it, the problem here is that Dakhla has a perfect environment for flies to concentrate so basically you have a swarm of flies all over the terrace. If you wanna work there after breakfast forget about it. That follows the next issue... 2. The Waterfront: service there is simply chaotic. In the kite location most of the guys are not working at all, just chatting among themselves, so you basically dont know who to ask for help and the guy in charge of the renting was almost never there... 3. The Spa: I've been in roadside motels with better masseuse than this one. You pay minimum 70€ (again 5 star hotel Spa price) and the lady does not know what is doing at all, the room it is not well conditioned (environment, light and flies) to be considered a "Spa", the lady does not even ask about potential spine problems or pathologies (is not something I care but for older or injured people could be), you just get in there take your clothes off and she starts rubbing... Also please basic advice for the masseuse: cut your finger nails before doing a massage. 4. The Villas: nice looks but awful connection with the rest of the hotel. They look amazing and the rooms are ok but depending on which side you are, because there are some facing the pool not facing the sea, so you basically pay the same rate for someone that faces the sea and has private pool... The real trouble here is the movility. You only can get to the reception by car, in theory they pick you up once you send a whatsapp message to them but they can take up to 30min to come... If you're not a in a hurry thats no issue, but if you've booked a kite class for example you'll be late for sure with them. 5. Price: this is not an issue per se, but the problem is you do not receive what you pay. This is my 2nd time at Dakhla and I stayed in another hotel with better service than this one (I won't say which one because they will think the competition is paying me or something) and I paid half of this price. Of course the facilities were not that "good looking", but what is the point on looking attractive if beneath the surface everything is falling apart? To sum it up: nice looking aesthetic hotel, but they need better staff and organization overall. Positive: The food. But watch out with ordering extra drinks... Final tip: if you can spend +1000€ for your stay, you can afford all the other options in Dakhla, just don't spend it in this one.

If you go to Dakhla to practice kite surf this is not the place! There is a reason why it’s the only hotel on this coast and it’s because it’s not the one that it’s the most suitable for kite surf. The place, the landscape, decoration and the site in general are really beautiful and the people working there at the restaurant, bar or reception are so lovely it really enhance the experience. Unfortunately, I don’t think the hotel deserve its credit. The management and general organisation of the place could really be improved. Regarding the kite surf, even though the teachers seem good, the school management is really not effective which makes you wait and wonder very long about what you will do and when, plus location is not the best. The hotel should be more proactive in their activities proposition as there is really nothing to do on site. Same with the yoga classes management, they advertise free classes everyday but you don’t really know if and when the class will take place. Also some things don’t work in the room (lamps and stuff even though hotel is pretty new) and even though we told the management nothing was done about it. And there is a very strong smell of sewer in the rooms and bar. On top of that, lot of the clients (me included) got really sick during our stay from food poisoning. Even though the chef really cooks nice food and deserts, I guess some basic hygiene rules are not respected. And there again management saw half of their clients sick and didn’t say anything or do any gesture. I think they overcharge the prices for a lot of things like activities, classes and drinks (4,5€ for a small bottle of water). We did have a hammam and massage and they were really good so would recommend it and recommend to do it with Soumia in case you still decide to stay at this place.

Fantastic location to kitesurf. I read a previous review that suggested it isn't a good spot for kitesurfing, the reviewer doesn't have a clue. IT IS A GREAT SPOT! Wind is great, deep water for foiling, but the swimming pool area is perfect flat water for twintip. Staff were fantastic. Yoga was great at the end of the day.

A French oasis The food was simply outstanding, staff were friendly and attentive, bungalows very comfortable and sat well within the landscape, hammam was good. I would have prefered they didn’t try to insist on chargeable bottled water at mealtimes. Also, does the bar need to be central London pricing? The kite spot was ok. It got quite rough at times, wind was very limited for 4 of the 7 days I was there. I understood from guests the week before there were 6 days no wind. It this was in November so out of season as the staff pointed out. I would consider going back in season latest in October, and recommend checking the tides are high enough to use the ‘pool’ which didn’t fill up when I was there.

I was really looking forward to staying at La Tour d'Eole but unfortunately before arriving I was charged an incorrect amount. After a few emails back and forward the resort agreed to refund it but this was not the initial offering. However, due to exchanges rates this left me out of money, which thankfully they were understanding about this and paid the difference so I can't fault them in the end on this for their mistake. Due to some "miscommunications" I ended up with a raw burger and beef steak which caused me to get sick from the food. This almost ruined my holiday as I was ill for the remaining time. However, the resort chef did come and apologise and offered alternatives that we could have on the last day of our 3 day stay. Maintenance issues: - sink plug broke, this issue wasn't fixed - toilet would consistently flush, thankfully the maintenance team fixed this Food/Drink issues: - omelette on the first morning was raw in the middle, I took it back and asked the chef to recook it and eventually this was resolved - dessert arrived with the casing still around it (see photo) - beef burger at the beach bbq was raw in the middle and made me ill, this then occurred again with the beef fillet later that evening where it was still raw in places - on our 2nd night at dinner we hadn’t even finished eating our main course when we were handed our 1st & 2nd night bills to sign, our jug of water was taken away from us to use by someone else and not brought back - almost no Moroccan specialities or offerings Room/Resort: - WhatsApp chat was a good idea as you could report issues without having to go to reception and most things were acted upon quickly - huge beetle was found upon arrival in room on the bed, flies in room due to door being left open prior to arriving - cabins are so close together and your bathroom window faces onto someone else’s terrace which means if you're showing at night people can see straight in! - rooms were too hot with no AC, Dakhla might be windy but sadly the way the cabins face wasn't where the wind was blowing so it often felt like there was no air - some people would put their belongings on sun beds for the whole day, even if they only sat there for an hour! No management of this, people got very defensive if you even attempted to move their things when they weren't even there Overall our experience was uncomfortable at times, almost like we didn't fit in as some people appeared quite pretentious. However, we did receive a warm welcome from most staff and the maintenance/cleaning team were lovely and always said hello which was lovely. It's nice that the resort exists in this location, but as we weren't into kitesurfing I think we felt that the price did not justify the experience. We were also a bit confused, as the place overall including the food, service and catering to kite surfing doesn’t really go. I don't want this review to appear all negative as we did like some elements of the resort - especially the views.

Average everything 🤣 Missing TV ,AC, internal Telephone , kettle and mini bar in rooms, but it was ok for me Disappointed because of the poor set menu for the restaurant , no varieties and based on the seafood dishes with no alternatives (chicken or beef ) even as sandwiches but limited And if you have a problem with this ,simply they will just apologise 😑 It was my second time there but I believe the last unless they will fix the restaurant problem Finally it’s good for the surfing and relaxation But no more and far away from the luxury
