La Crique Hôtel & Spa Dakhla

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel La Crique. The staff were incredibly attentive, the food was excellent, and the hotel's decor was tasteful. The spa treatments were top-notch. It's a shame there wasn't a wheelchair ramp to access the restaurant, but otherwise, everything was perfect.

Catastrophic service, bad faith, false advertising, inconvenient and poorly organized services The service is disastrous, the staff is poorly trained and doesn't seem to want to help guests. The management is clearly deficient, and the hotel doesn't live up to its promises, whether in terms of services, food quality, or activities offered. The only positive point: the rooms were relatively pleasant, but this in no way compensates for the numerous problems encountered. I absolutely do not recommend this hotel. The room wasn't cleaned during our stay, and when we informed reception, we were told it was our fault because they didn't have a spare key… But after speaking with the manager, it turned out that this wasn't the case, as they did have a spare. Finally, the room was cleaned on the last day, but upon our return, our belongings had been moved, and our AirPods were missing (stolen?). Since our departure, the manager has still not been able to provide an explanation, and we are constantly being referred to an unreachable accommodation manager. The hotel website boasts a "fine dining restaurant" with magnificent photos, but the reality is quite different: the food is deplorable. The half-board option is actually a limited version of the restaurant menu, with some dishes requiring 24 hours' notice. Very complicated on the day of arrival… When ingredients are missing, instead of informing guests, they replace them with something completely unrelated… The final straw was at the bar, where mojitos were made with Malibu instead of traditional rum. The bartender, of course, told us this wasn't true, before coming back 30 minutes later to tell us that he had made them in a hurry and that if we wanted them, he could make them properly this time. They also advertise numerous activities like stand-up paddleboarding, but in fact, there isn't any at all. When I asked for an explanation at reception, I was initially told that there were no stand-up paddleboards in the entire Dakhla region, before they admitted that they only had one, but that the wind had broken it (?). This kind of repeated lying demonstrates a blatant lack of professionalism. You have to walk all the way through the hotel to get pool towels. The spa reception doesn't even know the treatment menu. Etc., etc.

A truly beautiful place in a wonderful setting! The staff are charming, attentive, and always smiling! The view of the lagoon from the rooms is breathtaking. The hotel's decor is sublime. Our children enjoyed the two swimming pools, and we particularly appreciated the Drifter service; as a family, they take care of everything for us to go kitesurfing. It's truly a unique place, unlike any other... restful and relaxing thanks to the spa's amazing staff. And we mustn't forget the excellent breakfast and our dinners by the lagoon at L'Ancre des Gourmets, with its refined cuisine—unforgettable! In short, a fabulous stay! We will definitely be back. Thank you so much to all the staff at La Crique.

“Our experience at the hotel restaurant was extremely disappointing. Despite having made a reservation and received confirmation, we were surprised upon arrival to be refused entry, with the excuse that there were more important guests. The treatment was very poor, which affected our mood and that of the children, who were very excited about the visit. The result was a great deal of disappointment, with the children starting to cry because they couldn't get in. Unfortunately, we will not be repeating the experience.” I also have a screenshot of the call confirming the reservation, after which they stopped answering once we arrived at the venue.
