Kamoun is a cozy, warm spot serving authentic Moroccan food. It’s highly popular with locals and families, which says it all! I had an incredibly delicious Tajine aux légumes paired with a refreshing, fresh mango juice. The staff is exceptionally welcoming and kind, and the prices are very affordable. Highly recommended!

Very nice restaurant with good food, service, and ambiance! I can highly recommend the chicken Tajine with fries. Amazing! The Tangia we also ordered had quite a lot of fat on the meat... but it was very tasty otherwise. Always ask for the daily dessert options that are not on the regular menu. We were able to get a nice, sweet, freshly made pastilla for dessert. Very good!

My first meal in Morocco was here at Kamoun, and what a wonderful experience! The Trio des Salades Marocaines starter was a savory delight. The viande aux pruneaux tajine was a superb blend of textures and sweet and savory flavors. I went back again twice during my 5-day stay in Casablanca. Tonight I was there for my last dinner in Casablanca. I had the Trio des Salades Marocaines again as well as the Fraîcheur Kamoun salad, which was a clean, fresh, herbal delight on my palate. These were followed by the deliciously filling Liver Mikla, and the Orange de Canelle dessert, which was an orange blossom custard layered atop and between, if I'm not mistaken, lightly baked pastilla crusts. An absolutely sumptuous meal. The atmosphere and service at Kamoun are superb. It is a well-lit, neatly arranged and tastefully intimate space, managed and hosted by a warm-hearted attentive team of staff and family whose welcoming demeanor makes one feel at home. I highly recommend Kamoun over any of the popular tourism focused restaurants which may dazzle with "Orientalist" decor, ambience and entertainment but unfortunately serve lifeless, flavorless, overcooked and undercooked food to unsuspecting foreigners. Kamoun's warmth and authenticity outshine all the rest.

stars – Delicious tagine, shakshuka vibes, and a welcoming spot! I recently stopped by Kahoun Yees and left very impressed. The place has a modern yet warm atmosphere—think stylish woven chairs, lots of natural wood, beautiful wall decor with plants, hanging lamps, and that eye-catching neon "Kahoun Yees" sign glowing against a green wall. It feels inviting and Instagram-worthy without being pretentious. Perfect for a relaxed meal with friends or family. We started with the fried spring rolls (or briouates/vietnamese-style rolls?), served on a colorful patterned plate over fresh lettuce. They were crispy, golden, and packed with flavorful filling—nicely seasoned and not greasy at all. A great starter! The real stars were the mains, presented in classic terracotta tagine pots: The egg dish (looks like a rich shakshuka or Tunisian/Moroccan-style eggs in tomato sauce with mushrooms, herbs, and spices) was absolutely divine. The eggs were perfectly runny, the sauce rich and aromatic with cumin, paprika, and fresh cilantro on top. Paired with warm, soft pita bread from the basket—it was comfort food heaven. The lamb tagine (with prunes, almonds, and what looks like a fragrant onion-based sauce) was melt-in-your-mouth tender. The meat fell apart easily, the sweetness from the prunes balanced the savory spices perfectly, and the toasted almonds added a lovely crunch. Generous portion too! Service was friendly and attentive, and the place was clean and nicely lit. It has that neighborhood gem feel—cozy booths, casual vibe, but the food punches way above "casual." If you're craving authentic Middle Eastern flavors (with perhaps a little North African influence) in Montréal, definitely give Kahoun Yees a try. Great value, beautiful presentation, and dishes that make you want to come back for more. Highly recommend—especially during Ramadan season when these kinds of hearty, comforting meals hit just right! Will be returning soon. 😋
